Place the hook-backed patch over a compatible loop panel, align it carefully and press firmly from the centre towards the edges. If the item does not already have a loop panel, one can be sewn onto the fabric. To remove the patch, lift it slowly from one edge without pulling the fabric.

Backing compatibility guide
Velcro patches, also called hook-and-loop patches, need two matching surfaces. The hook backing on the patch grips a loop panel already fitted to the item. It will not attach securely to plain denim, jackets or backpacks unless a loop panel is sewn on first.
Check the item before ordering so the backing matches the surface you plan to use.
These items often include a built-in loop panel, allowing a hook-backed patch to attach directly without sewing.
Security, military and some hospitality uniforms may have a loop panel fitted to the sleeve or chest. Check the garment specification first.
